In defence of Spam

While Spam is an easy punchline for jokes among food purists, these ubiquitous tins of 'spiced ham' have quite a history.

Celebrating their 80th birthday in 2017, Spam not only retains its prime real estate on supermarket shelves around the world, it is literally celebrated in countries like Korea and Hawaii where annual festivals are held in its honour.

In service to this much-maligned survivor of the Great Depression and World War 2, I put together a series of recipes utilising Spam for News.com.au.
